Responsibilities:
· Knowledge of programming languages used to develop Shopify apps Ruby, JavaScript, and Liquid.
· Frameworks: The most popular frameworks for developing Shopify apps are Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
· APIs: The Shopify API is the backbone of any Shopify app. It provides developers with access to Shopify's data and functionality.
· Database: Shopify apps typically use a database to store data, such as customer information, product data, and order history. PostgreSQL is a common database used for Shopify apps.
· Hosting: Shopify apps need to be hosted on a web server that is secure, reliable, and fast. Shopify recommends hosting on a cloud-based platform like Heroku or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
· Front-end technologies: Shopify apps require a front-end interface for users to interact with. Popular front-end technologies used in Shopify app development include React, Vue, and Angular.
· Payment gateways: Shopify apps that handle payments require integration with a payment gateway such as PayPal, Stripe, or Square.
Task and Duties:
· Requirements gathering: The plugin developer will work with stakeholders to identify the requirements for the plugin and develop a plan for its development.
· Plugin design: The plugin developer will create the design of the plugin, including its user interface, functionality, and architecture.
· Plugin development: The plugin developer will write the code for the plugin, following established coding standards and best practices.
· Testing and debugging: The plugin developer will test the plugin to ensure it functions as intended and is free of bugs or errors.
· Maintenance and support: The plugin developer will provide ongoing maintenance and support for the plugin, including troubleshooting issues and fixing bugs.
· Documentation: The plugin developer will create documentation for the plugin, including user guides, installation instructions, and release notes.
· Collaboration: The plugin developer will work closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure the plugin meets the needs of the organization and its users.
· Continuous improvement: The plugin developer will stay up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices, and continuously work to improve the functionality and performance of the plugin.
